Tonya was born July 19 - 1971. She is full of life and adventure. She loves to fish and read and be on her computer. She likes to try different recipes and makes the best fettichini alfredo I have ever had from scratch.

Tonya loves to read and has a book or two on the go most of the time. She is very handy at most crafts from needlepoint to ceramics.

When she was little she brought home every animal she could get her hands on including the neighbours cats. She also brought home seniors from the senior citizens home down the block and I would have to make her return them after explaining to her why she could not keep every old person she saw just because she thought they were lonesome.

Tonya and I butted heads many times while she was growing up and sometimes it was a tough road. I think a lot of that was because we are more alike then either of us like to admit. ( LOL )

However now that she is an adult and mother herself we have become friends and it is a joke between us that I am her mother from midnite until 6 in the evening and her friend from 6 in the evening until midnight.

In other words I can give her motherly opinions and advice during mother hours and after that we are friends chatting about anything and everything under the sun and I can give a friends opinon on things that might not necessarily be a mother's point of view.

Tonya is a bit of a dreamer and thinks she can save the world. She also will fight for a cause that others would give up on. She is very much like me in that she loves the elderly and animals.

After a long day at her job she will call me up and say * It's been a day Pooh* - thus I nicknamed her Eeyore.

Tonya is in between a country girl and a live on the edge of a city girl. She fits in well with both life styles.

Tonya made me this globe from her heart a couple of years back. It was her first attempt at a globe and I am so honoured and touched that it was made for me, her Mommy. Thank you sweetheart for your thoughtfulness. I Love You more then words can say--now--always and forever.

Mother's Day 2001

Every day I share my mom with all of you and I do it generously and lovingly. Today though she is mine and mine alone. You have all come to know the Misker that she is now and you all share in our memories of farming to shopping and our outings.

There was a time when we never spoke. When we could not find a ground to stand on. With both of us being strong personalities and coming from pasts that needed much resolution it was a road to travel and it took us years to meet on the bridge halfway. Thank goodness we made that trek.

Now today I want to share a note I wrote sitting here thinking of our journey and being grateful that the journey is over and I found a friend.

"Mom"

There were times when we were barely friends,
times we wouldn't talk
and here we are now
what a long walk.

See how far we've come
from the days of my youth
when I was sure I was the only one
who knew the truth.

Now we share secrets
Giggle over things
there are no words to tell you
how much to me it all means.

Everyday a new memory
from schickens to pooh
and shopping trips costing
a dollar forty seven sixty two.

I am so glad to call you my friend
and on this mother's day
its only my heart felt memories
to you I send.

Happy Mom's Day Mom
From your little Tude.
I love you!!!!!!
